Where now for Minecraft and Mojang?

With updates to Minecraft taking longer and longer to arrive and becoming less exciting what does the future hold for Minecraft?

Well the future currently looks very dull with Minecraft developers seemingly out of ideas.

 However, with the recent sale of Mojang to Microsoft things could change. Recently at E3 Microsoft announced its new product the HoloLens. They demonstrated there new product in Minecraft making the game come to life in front of the users eyes. Heres a video which demonstrates its potential.

However this will probably not appeal to more mature Minecraft players who often use mods to make their Minecraft experience more exhilarating.

New Modern City Project

I know loads of people do these projects but it is the style of building I enjoy doing.
I'm going to update this every time I make an update to the build usually it will be a new structure every time.
I don't tend to do much with the interiors of building I focus more on the exterior.
I'm open to suggestions as I am aware that I am not the best builder.
I've currently finished building a small town fire station including two fire trucks.

MInecraft Build Spotlight

I've seen this build floating around the planetminecraft site recently.
The build itself is called 'Alcatrius the space prison'
Built by Mr_derpyPanda and the interior done by Sinan Canlilar

If you are unaware this is a space take on the prison called Alcatraz. I will leave it up to you to find more information about that if you wish.
