One of many of Modern style structures I'm gonna be building and let you download the schematic of. You can use the building for anything you want. (Not that you were gonna ask anyway eh?) Just don't upload it to any other sites.

Minecraft Snapshot 14w20b
The latest update 1.8 is going to be one for the map makers out there I have not really posted about this update because I'm not much of a map maker if at all. However they're adding some pretty cool stuff.
Notable added stuff:
Spectator mode
Iron trapdoors
Lots of new features for command blocks mainly for mapmakers.
Other than that there's not much more apart from a but load of bug fixes (I mean a lot of bug fixes). So there you go a shortened down version of the latest updates.

How to tell if Minecraft Servers are broken!
A website known as http://xpaw.ru/mcstatus/ has been around for a while xPaw the creator made it so that Minecraft players could find out if the Minecraft servers were down. Unfortunately not everyone uses it which means a lot of people spend time searching the web thinking that their Minecraft is broken. I would recommend saving this website into your favorites/bookmarks as I use this site a lot and find it really useful.
Another way you can find out about the Minecraft server details is by following their twitter https://twitter.com/StatusMinecraft as well as soon as somthing happens an automated response is sent out to your twitter feed.

Minecraft Snapshot 14w03b was released today was mainly bug fixes but including some new command block commands.

- Added /clone command to copy large areas to other areas
- Added a /fill command to fill a large area with a block

Minecraft Bukkit? You mean Bucket? No I mean Bukkit.
Some of you may already no what Bukkit is or maybe you've just heard of it.
The only way to explain what Bukkit is, is by comparing it to a Minecraft mod except it is for servers and doesn't require you to install any kind of tricky file into your Minecraft client.
Bukkit only needs to be installed on the server side, meaning that players who may not understand how to install mods etc will not have any trouble joining.
I expect if you have played Minecraft you have probably played on a few servers, you know when you use commands on servers? Like the /warp command for example, that is probably because of a plugin on the server. A plugin is like a mod apart from the client does not need to install it. Bukkit allows plugins to be used on servers. Now Minecraft does have some basic commands built in so don't get them confused with Bukkit commands.
I may of just made it sound easy to but Bukkit is actually quiet complicated and the plugins can be even more complicated than Bukkit if you're a server owner. If you want to run a Bukkit server it will take time and dedication to do it, especially if you want to make it 'public' so that other Minecrafters can join you. You will spend a lot of time editing plugin configs only for some annoying player to come along and find something for you to fix.
I understand that you may become uninterested in Minecraft now more and you are only keeping your server so that other people can play together. What if you're getting your server hosted by a company who is charging you every month for it? Well you're paying for other people to play aren't you? Well you could always ask for donations but who would pay for something when they can get it for free eh? You can make it so that they have a reason to pay or want to donate. By having bonus or rewards for doing so, If you own a server you will know that players just want to reach the highest rank there is. You can give them a rank/custom rank when the donate X amount of money. You could also give them access to specific commands or you could always give them diamonds I'm sure they'll like that too.
I hope this gives you an understanding of what Bukkit is and what you can do with it.
